| Red House Stables Working
Carriage Museum has one of the finest collections of original horse drawn
vehicles and equipment in Britain. Established in 1946, this unique collection of vehicles and accessories was started by Mr. William Smith who was very particular about the authenticity and impeccable condition of each carriage. This tradition is now continued by his daughter Caroline Dale-Leech, who has spent her life with horses and driving, learning from her Grandfather as well as her father. |

The present collection
of carriages includes one of the very few surviving Hansom Cabs, a Stage
Coach, Royal Mail Coach & numerous other private and commercial vehicles. One of the more unusual aspects of the collection is that it is a working museum and the owner, Caroline Dale-Leech, ensures that the vehicles are regularly out on the road being used, not locked away behind closed doors. Visitors are welcome to browse around at their leisure. |

Tours by Coach & Team
of Four Horses or Carriage & Pair of Horses Situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park we invite you aboard our original Road Coach behind a magnificent team of four grey Dutch Gelderlanders or Landau & Pair of Horses to experience a truly memorable tour as we travel in style through the Derbyshire Dales taking in the beautiful scenery of this spectacular area. Carriage rides can be arranged from 1/2 hour local trips to a 3-4 hour tour to Chatsworth House & return. |

| Weddings a Specialty Travel to & from your venue with all the romance of a bygone era. For that very special occasion a selection of horse drawn carriages are available for hire. Many have appeared regularly on TV and the big screen for period films, e.g. Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, Emma, Jane Eyre, Georgiana Duchess of Devonshire, to name but a few. All are professionally presented to a high standard with Liveried Coachman and Footman together with a matched pair of grey horses. |
